Through many different line ups throughout the bands history, we come to (hopefully) the final incarnation. Formerly known as Lunar trans-action, I am spartacus are a four piece from Dorset UK. We are made up of Nick (guitars), Clive (bass and backing vocals), Jez (drums), and our newest addition Aaron (Vocals). We have recently released an E.P, "Every Superhero Needs a Trusty Sidekick", which was written, recorded, produced, performed, designed, pressed and marketed entirely by ourselves. It is on sale at certain independant record stores around the dorset area, including bournemouth, yeovil and salisbury. We're working on getting gigs in the local area, and beyond, so when we do, we'll let you all know, so that you can come and check us out.

OK well as I'm writing this myself I'm not sure what to write. My first main intrest musically was Ska i.e. bands such as Less than Jake, and other bands that I started to hear such as Greenday (thanks to an American kid) and Lost Prophets. As I moved school I was intrested in music and due to a girlfriend, became determined to develop into music. So I started playing guitar on an old acoustic which I soon gave up as I naturally play leftie and couldnt get round to sorting it out.
A friend called Angus and I soon began to mess about with the idea of forming a band with Clive but it never took off.
I then sang for the ohh so legendary (in their minds anyway) Sense of 16. This didnt last long as my room mate soon took my place. Thanks Mike.
After this I was asked to sing a single gig with another band due to lack of a vocalist. This experiance is why I am where I am today due to the audience reaction to the music we were playing.
Finally seen as I had been hanging around with Clive and Jez via our Drama class who had been going through multiple vocalists as Lunar trans Action, and currently had Clive singing I ended up screaming as backing on the original recording of Born to lose though I'm sure it was never used in the final version. Then due to Clives inability to multi task I was asked to join the band as vocalist to which I obliged.
Thanks to all the people I mentioned for getting me where I am now.

I was originaly born in yugaslavia, but moved to dorset when i was nine. unbelieviably as it may seem i was actualy born with my guitar in my hand.   As i grew up it grew with me until i bought a new one.   Its called luciel.   Seriasly i started playing guitar when i was about 13 and was a huge chillis fan.   After playing for a while with jez, clive joined then aaron came along, and here we are.   At the ripe old age of sixty three and after severel sex changes i came to clayesmore school.   I love original guitarists like hendrix, tom morrello and johnny greenwood.

Clive - Bass + Vocals

I remember, when i was about 11 years old, sitting on a minubus, going to a school trip, and in the cassette player, was the Offspring album Americana. It was something i'd never heard before. Fast, energetic, and chaotic. Noise with a meaning. Thats where it all began.
Progressively i became more and more interested in music. I remember tagging along with the whole pop punk/nu metal scenes, and progressively finding better bands. I took up guitar when i was 13. Started playing my mum's old acoustic guitar, got some chord books, and decided to give it a go. I got an electric guitar, a shitty encore for my 14th birthday, which was probably the best present that i ever got.
Later that year, Jez and Nick were practicing, a two man band, playing chili peppers covers in the drum hut at school. They needed a bassist, i was desperate to play in a band (previous attempts at forming bands hadn't really worked). So i bought myself a bass, thinking it would be a hell of a lot easier than guitar (greatly mistaken) and its been that way ever since. I did have a brief stint at vocals when the band was still known as Lunar Trans-Action, and there are a couple of old recordings that exist with me at vocals.
I got a haircut.
